Get Acquainted with the Publix Supermarket in Your Area

There has never been a better time to get acquainted with the Publix supermarket in your area as now. One thing I really love about shopping at Publix, is the ability to go online on their main website and find all the special deals that I can get my hands on before I make a shopping trip. The truth is, while I’m at work, I find myself when I’m on my break skimming through the official Publix website and looking at all the different options they have available so I can find any information I need regarding this grocery chain.

Lately, I’ve been spending quite a lot of time looking through the recipes they offer on the website. You can easily find these supermarket recipes on their main website under the heading “Apron’s”. For example, recently, I found the recipe for flank steak with raspberry that was just out of this world. While the recipe said it would take 35 min. to prepare I guess I’m not a very good cook because it took me an hour. However, I followed the instructions to a T and my family was very pleased with the outcome.

Find Out Your Publix Hours

A Publix is usually open from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. My suggestion to you is to also get acquainted with their website so that when you visit the store and you can navigate your way around the store much easier and with more effectiveness. You know, shopping smart has a little bit more to do with just making a great shopping list. Of course, that’s where it starts, but if you are familiar with the products and types of special deals in whatever grocery store you choose, you’re going to come out way ahead in the end as far as savings.

In the end, you will be able to feel much more comfortable knowing that every time you shop at Publix it’s more than just shopping for groceries, it’s going to be a pleasurable

A Publix Store in Your Area Equals Savings

It’s a fact that not many people ever use coupons or weekly ads but with a Publix store nearby you’d be shooting yourself in the foot if you didn’t take advantage of all the specials. I always keep an eye open for the buy one get one free offers and i usually find those in the dry goods areas of Publix on a consistent basis. In fact, on any given trip, i will almost certainly come across a BOGO offer on something my family actually consumes.

Use the Publix Store Locator to Find the Nearest One

By the way, use the link here to find Publix stores in your area. The Publix’s store hours are usually from seven in the morning all the way up till 10 o’clock or 11 o’clock at night. In my area I have two of them and one is open until 10 o’clock at night and the other doesn’t close their doors until 11 PM. It’s definitely not a 24 hour supermarket generally, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find the deals and discounts that you find in this grocery chain in other stores.

I usually do my shopping on a Sunday morning when there’s very little activity at the store. I enjoy waking up a little bit extra early, sometime around nine o’clock in the morning, so that I can buy some great stuff for breakfast as well as do my shopping for the week. I am one of those who shops every week because I know there are different deals and specials every week.

Find Publix Sales Easily By Knowing Your Store

One important thing to do when you’re shopping frugally, is to get accustomed to the Publix store layout. For example, in my hometown store that I always visit, it starts out with dairy products and other refrigerated items on the right. On the left there are all sorts of juices, apple sauces, et cetera. What I like to do is to bypass the cold section and just start with the juice section and work my
way up and down the aisles in accordance with my shopping list.

As I go through the isles of my Publix store, I generally end up near the bakery section and I start looking at the refrigerated items in the coolers at the end of the store. I usually end up with a few frozen pizzas that are on sale, some Ore Ida French fried potatoes our kids love, an assortment of frozen vegetables, and a few other items. After that, I quickly work my way right back to where I started in the refrigerated section where the dairy foods are located. Now, I don’t place any dairy foods in my cart at first because I like to take my time shopping for special deals. If I would’ve put the dairy products in there I would be fighting for time just to save their freshness.

You should develop some type of system at your own Publix store so that you can systematically go up and down the aisles without having to worry about time so that you can pick out the best discounts and deals while keeping all of your cold food fresh from possible spoilage.
